In times of tragedy and civil unrest, it is easy and common for companies to release position statements. It’s good for leaders to offer their support to communities in need. A positive message that says, “we stand with you” feels good. Unfortunately, in these times, your stakeholders need more than warm fuzzies – they need your action.
So if you published a message of support, great. Thank you. Now, immediately follow that with action. What are the next steps you will take to fund the movement, change your organization’s culture, change your personal reactions, push for legislation changes or otherwise deliver real change?
